Sigma Imaging (UK) Ltd is pleased to announce that the suggested retail price of the new 8-16mm f4-5.6 DC HSM is £799.99. This new lens will be available at the end of April in Sigma, Canon and Nikon fit. Sony and Pentax will follow shortly.

Sigma Photo Pro 4 available now, DP2 Update 1.04 PDF Print E-mail

Sigma has made the new version of Sigma Photo Pro available for download. Version 4 supports the newer DP1x and DP2s as well as the SD15, and introduces improvements in performance particularly on dual-core systems.

SPP 4 is for Macintosh and Windows systems. You will need to uninstall your previous version.

In addition, Sigma has released Firmware version 1.04 for the DP2 camera. This improves the AF speed of the DP2. Remember to fully charge your battery before updating.

{mosimage width=125}Sigma Imaging UK were at Focus on Imaging - this year slightly later than usual - and had the DP1x, DP1s, DP2 and SD14 and 15 on display along with the latest range of lenses. The new lenses were only viewable through glass as pre-production samples, but a quick glance at them revealed some promising traits. An opportunity to hold the SD15 wasn't wasted, so read more for a quick recap of the new products for 2010 (so far!).

Sigma UK will be attending Focus on Imaging at the NEC, on Stand N3, between 7th (Sunday) and 10th of March. With a full range of products on display and experts available for questions and feedback, Sigma UK's team will be ready to welcome you. There's parking at the NEC, as well as easy access from Birmingham International, and you might be able to get a sneak peek at the new cameras too.

Whilst we can't afford to go jetting off to PMA in Las Vegas, we know a man who can - Gary L. Friedman; rocket scientist, photographer and musician. Here's a quick recap of his visit to the Sigma stand, and some pictures. Sigma's PMA announcements included the DP1x, DP2s, the final production specification for the SD15 and a new range of professional lenses including an 85mm F1.4 and a stabilised fast 70-200 F2.8.
