They were the driving force behind a four-person team of humans who were the participants in the Adventure Ecology "Top of the World" expedition. |

Well, no, it does have a bearing on a lens' ability to produce sharp images that goes beyond the photographers technique and goes a long way to explain the difference in prices between apparently similar lenses. |

The terms 'Back focus' or 'Front focus' crop up regularly, and often it is the lens that is blamed. But is it always the case? We decided to look a little further. |

Over the past half a dozen years or so there have been a myriad of advances in digital camera sensor technology. New advances are still being announced at regular intervals. On top of that, sensor sizes from different manufactures vary from absolutely tiny through to offerings for medium format backs and more. |

I got into photography literally by accident, a road traffic accident of all things. I was a passenger in a HGV that over-turned and barrel rolled into a field. It is not something I’d wish on my worst enemy, having suffered various injuries including a broken spine and a fractured skull. Although I was left disabled for life because of it, I am still able to walk with the aid of a stick…I was lucky! |
