I've just published a Focus report - with a few hands-on pictures of (sadly not from!) the DP2.

It sports an ISO 3200 mode in this pre-production firmware; this looks like a finished option so it may be that the camera will support it at release - as always specifications may change.

I saw that report. It looks nice. I'd love one but I can't really justify that much on a P+S at the moment. I'll be at focus soon though so I'll check it out for myself!

I have a production model on my desk now, so as soon as the weather improves there will be a full review. However, just to keep people waiting - ISO 3200 looks entirely usable in some conditions. I need to do a lot more to find out how flexible it is, but the results are looking promising.

I'd be really interested in how the DP2 performs. The thing that stopped me buying the DP1 is how slow it can be to turn on and take an image then write time for a RAW file. Seems like it's quite a lengthy process. Image quality looks great though and I'd love to now if there's an improvement speed-wise in the DP2.

I wonder if this means that we might see some extended ISO range software updates for the SD14? Such a move might extend its acceptance in some circles. Personally, I rarely have occasion to go beyond ISO 200 and find the ISO 50 setting particularly useful on the SD14. However, I can imagine the higher settings being useful under many circumstances.

Haven't tried the DP1 or DP2 yet. One of each would no doubt make for a useful and relatively light weight touring set-up.
