Has anyone experimented with the Adobe digital negative concept? The theory of a universal RAW format which could be supported by a wide range of software seems attractive enough, providing of course that conversion from a host format doesn't introduce any abnormalities. According to the Adobe web site, cameras whose native RAW files may be easily converted include Sigma SD9 - SD14 (doesn't mention SD15 - but I will give it a try).

www.Adobe.com/dng including a download of the convertor.
The Adobe RGB format also attracts a certain amount of controversy, with some maintaining that standard RGB can be better and, of course, we now have a dedicated Sigma colour space within PhotoPro.
Might be worth some sort of in depth evaluation of colour spaces and file formats? Anyone like to volunteer?
